Consultation response on the classification of EEA-NH4

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) launched a consultation on the mandatory classification and labeling of the PFAS EEA-NH4. EEA‑NH4 is used at industrial sites as a replacement for PFOA in the manufacture of the widely used fluoropolymer PTFE. This response summarises the support of Fidra and other UK NGOs for the proposed hazard classifications and presents additional evidence of the environmental harm caused by EEA‑NH4.
